PERSPECTIVE: COUNSELLING SIMULATOR
This project was in collaboration with the psychology department at University of Bolton. We were asked to design a game based on a case study provided by the department. The main function of the game was to allow psychology students to simulate a risk assessment situation in the office. Another request by the client was to allow students to add more cases to the game. Afterwards the game was chosen to be used by the psychology department as a tool in education on risk assessment.

WHITEBOX
For this project the idea was to make an office with tiers attached; each tier would unlock more offices to open and generate more income for the player. While designing the level I worked closely with the artists on the team and we came to the conclusion of making a single office with offices already built in rather than making specific offices and wasting time on making them upgradable through the shop. The decision was approved by the team lead and then I moved on to designing a whole level as one office. While adding assets and materials I have decided to conduct a research on what sort of colours would fit the psychology office and came across a articles discussing which colours to avoid and which ones affect the mood in positive ways ( for example Blue is the colour of trust and is known as the colour of dependability and strength). Due to the seriousness of the topics in game i have decided to use desaturated colours that would look more appealing and wouldn't be as bright.
